It is a good idea to find out if your flight will have Wi-Fi, so you can plan out your communication options for the flight.
MichaelFlew with SouthwestLAS-SANJan 2025
It’s a quick flight and sometimes turbulent leaving the desert. You may not get drinks service due to the brief flight time and safety measures.
ShaneFlew with Spirit AirlinesLAS-DFWDec 2024
Know what events are happening in the city traveling too, too many major events in one area causes major delays at TSA checkpoints.
Verified travelerFlew with FrontierLAS-ATLFeb 2025
If you're gonna fly an ala carte airline, make sure you add the bag when you purchase the ticket otherwise you'll spend half of your travel money just so that your luggage can accompany you on your trip.
Verified travelerFlew with Spirit AirlinesLAS-OAKSep 2024
Make sure you know the baggage rules, don’t bring more than you need, and if you get a rental car, know that people target them for break-ins. Never leave anything in your car. Going in for a snack? Take your bags. Basically, drive to your hotel, take the bags out immediately and put them in your room, and try to leave nothing in the car ever. It’s not always this bad, but they spot rentals from a mile away. Be smart, be safe.
Verified travelerFlew with Alaska AirlinesLAS-PDXNov 2024
Be aware that asking to check your carry-on at the ticket counter will cost you. I was trying to - get ahead of the request at the gate to check carry-on. Flying from PDX to Vegas, I didn't have to pay for checking my carry-on at ticket counter.
Verified travelerFlew with WestJetLAS-YWGNov 2024
Bring a coat :p The flight isn't that long, so service will likely only come by once. Get everything you desire in the first round.
MirelleFlew with Spirit AirlinesLAS-DTWNov 2024
Don’t book if you don’t wana pay extra for choosing seats and bags. Bring your own beverage and snacks, or you’ll pay for that too.
DietrieFlew with WestJetLAS-YYCOct 2024
Don't buy snacks at the airport they are ridiculously expensive.
ElianaFlew with Spirit AirlinesLAS-SEASep 2024
Bring a backpack to avoid a ridiculous charge

Southwest is doing best currently for direct flight/ I usually fly united I miss midwest express and the cookies Why don't planes board from back to front? It would be 100x more efficient and faster.
Verified travelerFlew with Spirit AirlinesLAS-SATJul 2024
Pack very light or pay for luggage. Very strict policies.

Do not check a bag if you can help it. Will set you back $40
Verified travelerFlew with SouthwestLAS-ORDMay 2024
Leave plenty of time to get your bag in Chicago if you check one. Took 45 minutes to get my bag this time.

Fill the water bottle before you get one the plane.
KellyFlew with Alaska AirlinesLAS-SEAApr 2024
I took Spirit to Vegas and Alaska home. First time flying Spirit, which was Spartan, had uncomfortable seats, the rows were thinner than Alaska, and they give you absolutely nothing on the flight. Not even water. So definitely take care of yourself if you’re flying spirit.
StephanyFlew with FrontierLAS-PHXMar 2024
Don't buy anything at the airport. Many people paid 100 dollars extra cause they couldn't fit it in their luggage. Or carry on or purse or backpack.
JosephFlew with DeltaLAS-SANFeb 2024
Your seat selection may be changed at check-in and you may not be able to change your seat to what you originally selected while booking so be aware of this possible issue.
sFlew with Spirit AirlinesLAS-OAKFeb 2024
There will be additional charges :- select seats, checkin or carry on luggages, food or drinks. Not suitable for big size passengers unless you pay extra to sit on the front two rows

The Southwest employees (all two of them) were very nice and cheerful despite the fact the line to self-check a bag (simply drop it off) was hundreds of people long. Thank God I arrived early to the airport because I stood in this line for at least an hour. Once on the flight that had been delayed by an hour, we had no Wi-Fi and thus no entertainment. Finally, I hope the investor strong arm tactics against Southwest pay off in a short-term windfall to your C-Suite because the rest of you are screwed. I have been a faithful Southwest customer for 15 years due to everything you just got rid of. I'm flying to Idaho and Washington in October, both places I used to simply book with Southwest without a second thought now with Frontier (Washington) and United (Idaho) because they offer everything the "new" Southwest does but cheaper and at better times, destinations, etc. This really makes me sad...

It was okay. The plane was delayed from earlier in the day, but they kept updating the departure time, sometimes later, sometimes earlier. That was stressful. Once we finally got on and took off, it was fine. I was supposed to have a connection in Chicago to Los Angeles, and the time for so late I was rebooked to arrive in LA 3 hours late. The departure time to Chicago later became early enough to have taken my original connection and arrive earlier but that wasn't an option.

It was one and half hour late... Not sure if any other experience matters.

Delayed flight. Nicest crew member was a SW pilot flying seated next to me who kindly move to seat the final passenger. Flight extra delayed. My cup of refreshment of ginger ale was so packed with ice it was literally 2 sips.

For my birthday trip this was my second time ever flying, this trip was the best.

after landing, we stay 2 hours on the taxi way before reaching the gate The airline and the crew were good though

No trays in our seats, we sat in first row, purchased a business class fare. Had to hold our drinks and snack in our hands. No plugs for our cell phones. Had to pay for it a drink cocktail each. Seats so uncomfortable.

Flight wasn’t even full, but too many carry-ons caused us to run out of bin space. New bag fee has folks who would usually check their bags carrying on. Watching Southwest morph into Spirit/Frontier is so sad to watch

Sat on tarmac for 2 hours and then missed my connecting flight

First time traveling on Southwest since bag fees were implemented. Usual good service. Just more expensive now.

Always good but we must do something about people in rows ahead of you that don't put their seats back up when they are suppose to. And It's rough to not be able to even lean over to get something out of my purse.

Flight was delayed, 30+ bags had to be gate checked. Crew were very friendly!

Everything was good until we were boarding our connection flight in Atlanta, we were told to gate check our carry-on, but when we got inside the plane, there was plenty of room in the overhead.

Did not know my son and I had different seating arrangements. He was fine, but it was disappointing.

Flight was canceled, and no effort was made to help with rebooking, no hotel vouchers, no car transportation and minimal food voucher and most places for food were closed by the time the voucher was given. Waited for 3 hours for bags. Simply the worst travel experience I have ever had

Food was surprisingly good but the WiFi was not great

this crew didn't care much. bumping carts into seats more times than i care to remember

Very late arrival at PWM. Late jet getting to ATL. Equipment problem with aircraft - could not get enough water onto plane., Another delay getting FAA approval for flight with bottled H2O. Not the crew’s problem.

Everything was fine except the entertainment was not working for half of the flight.

Easy boarding with an extremely kind attendant. Seats were spacious and we had 3 seats for 2 people so we could stretch out. Comfortable air flow and very attentive and hospital attendants. Bathrooms and food were the only negative. Bathrooms were so small you could hardly get in and close the door. I don’t think an obese person would fit or a person with a movement disability. Food was the trending food for flights, nonexistent. We spent $40 getting sandwich and snack at airport for our 6 hour flught.

I didn't like that my paid for seat was changed 2 hours before my flight.

The flight had a delay that made me being in a real rush to take the second flight. The delay was almost for 2 hours. They moved us from gate to gate in 4 times. Once I arrived to Philadelphia, I got to run thorough all the airport, as the train was already closed by that time. So I got sick with asthma for all the running I had to do. And I was the last one to board, when it was almost closed. So irresponsable with the people

Flight was delayed and after being in the airport for like seven hours, it was canceled.

Overall fine, but the delay was annoying and the reasons for the delay were not communicated. The crew on board were phenomenal!

Flight delays numerous times. Everytime we would get close to boarding it would be delayed again. Strung along the entire time.

After a two hour delay, my flight was CANCELLED! No pilot available. Such BS.

Overall very good, only complaint I have is the crew from CLT to SAT could have collected trash sooner.

The AA app really sucks ... Every flight & connecting flights were delayed over 30 mins. One connecting flight on American Eagle said it was delayed in its arrival ... when it was actually parked across from the gate for over 1 hr before they pulled it to the gate. Seats in the economy/ main cabin are packed together like sardines ... no leg room.

Initial flight was cancelled at the time of arrival to the airport, flight alternative requires switching from direct to flight with a layover, and the plane felt like it would split apart, it was so rattle-y.

Amazing food, great staff, with one noticable detail missing ...but no seat entertainment in any of aircraft ...I am not a fan

Flight was cancelled. No reason given. No apologies. Next available flight is two days later. Ruined our 4th of July plans.

Flight delayed over 3 or 4 hours because no captain to fly plane. I couldn’t make a connection and had to wait 9 hours for another flight. Had to fly red eye flight. Sucks

We paid for upgrade seats (3A & 3B) the seats on front and the seats behind us got complimentary water & soda, but we got charged, had to pay for everything. Does not make any sense ?

Horrible considering I didn’t go and I bought travel insurance and I didn’t receive a refund.

Spirit gets you there; it's no worse than any other aircraft, all things considered. (It's not like everyone else is such a hero). But - holy moses - do they nickel and dime you to absolutely every nickel - I was really expecting to have to pay to use the bathroom. And when the captain comes on with a 5 minute sales pitch about getting "points", that was like something on Bizarro world. Other than that, everyone else was professional and worked hard to get us from point A to point B. I'm not loving all the "self-service" stuff but there it is - just when the machines don't work you don't have anyone to talk to.

The ease of booking the flight was very good. Speaking with customer service was also good. However, the crew people are unfriendly and unwelcoming which I found this as unprofessional. As far as comfort it was mediocre. This was my first time flying Spirit and I chose them because of the flight times met my needs and my budget. However, I would be reluctant to fly on Spirit again. In addition, if the crew were more friendly and at least appeared somewhat happy and welcoming personally it would probably make the experience of flying with Spirit better.

hahaha we are delayed for one hour plus.. but thx we arrived San Diego safe

Canceled my flight and refused to put me on a different flight to get me to my destination. Unacceptable and ruined my trip

Plane uncomfortable. Issues with engine caused a long delay, 2hrs, before taking off

No leg room AT all extremely uncomfortable flight water even cost 5 dollars

My flight was canceled I was promised a reginf still not received.

Late, terrible communication, horrible planning of passenger seating until the literal last minute. One of the worst flying experiences of my life. Y'all suck

Both legs of the flight were changed. The day of the flight and length of the trip.

First of all, we never got on the connecting flight to Denver. They delayed our flight for two hours. If we would have gotten on that flight, we would have been stuck in Denver for 13 hours. So we re- routed our flight for a straight through flight to Oklahoma two days later. THEN, they delayed that flight for two hours. After that we were able to finally get on our flight and come home. Frontier Airlines - one of the worst airlines I have ever been on.

Terrible communication with weather delay, lost baggage, near impossible to reach customer service

My tickets got canceled on me by your site and I didn't have a flight. Then you kept sending me emails on the status of q flight I didn't have tickets for.

The delay was ridiculous because nary a word escaped from the gate attendant regarding our flight status. It was a complete joke.

I missed a flight because of a delay. I had to buy a new ticket through Southwest.

The crew was mostly okay. The flight attendant who answered our questions was curt and unhelpful unfortunately. He seemed upset and I understand having off days.

Flight was delayed one hour. Notification to the crowd waiting near the gate was terrible…announcements were unclear and very hard to hear and therefore understand. Frontier does NOT send texts to notify, only email. The reader board over the gate itself was NEVER updated to indicate the gate had been changed. It’s like a bunch of children are running things.
